Frequently asked questions
How ordering, payment, lead times and delivery work at MMWWco.
How do I order a table?
Start in Design yours on mmwwco.com: answer a few questions, tell us your name, email and town, and see your suggested tier. Then pick size, wood, stain, edge and base, see it in 3D and get a list-price estimate. Jeff reviews your spec and calls or emails to talk it through. When it’s right, you sign the spec and place a 50% deposit, and your build gets its spot on the line.
What’s the difference between Production, Semi-custom and Full custom?
Production is a really nice table at a really good price: seven named tables, each on the wood base it’s pictured with, in red oak or white ash, four stains, four lengths (60–96″) and 36″ or 42″ wide. Semi-custom opens the same tables up and adds eight more: 15 styles, eight woods including black walnut, 18 stain choices, lengths to 12 ft, steel bases on select tables and extension leaves. Full custom is a commission that starts from the room and a conversation: live edge, epoxy rivers, brass inlay, laser etching, and sizes to 18 ft with butterfly leaves. Commissions typically start around $8,500. Production tables start at $2,600 list and Semi-custom at $2,600 list.
How much is the deposit, and when is the balance due?
A 50% deposit reserves your build; the balance is due before delivery. Paying in full takes an extra 5% off your quoted total. That discount doesn’t apply to deposits, installments, financing or delivery.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available through Shopify. Financed or installment orders don’t get the pay-in-full discount.
How long does it take?
Production: about 4–6 weeks in the shop, our fastest tier. Semi-custom: about 6–8 weeks. Full custom: about 8–12 weeks from signed spec. Transit adds 10–15 business days.
What does delivery cost?
Pickup at the shop in Stromsburg is free. White-glove delivery and setup is $150 up to 50 road miles, $350 up to 150 miles and $600 up to 300 miles; beyond that Jeff quotes it. Tables over 8 ft add $100 and over 10 ft add $250 (only the larger applies). The configurator estimates road miles from your ZIP code’s center, so it’s an estimate, not a quote. Can I see the wood and metal before I order?
Yes. A sample kit of wood squares and steel plates ships to your door for $75, and the kit is credited back when you put a deposit down. Stain colors on screen are approximate, so the kit is the best way to see the real thing.
Is there a warranty?
Yes: the Refresh Warranty, a $395 add-on at the end of Design yours (the sitewide discount applies). Life happens: five kids doing homework at the table, a scratch here, markers bleeding through the paper. With the Refresh Warranty, our refresh service restores your table like new. We can, because every table is solid hardwood, not plywood.
How do I care for my table?
See the care guide. Jeff recommends a satin topcoat for dining tables: a slight sheen with good durability. The refresh service comes with the Refresh Warranty, an add-on at the end of Design yours. Care guide →
Is there a sale right now?
Yes. The site currently takes 10% off sitewide, on the table and on chairs. Prices on these pages are list prices.
How big can a table be?
Production lengths run 60–96″; Semi-custom runs 60″ to 12 ft including leaves, and rounds from 48″ to 78″. Full custom goes bigger: the largest so far is an 18 ft black walnut butterfly-leaf table that seats about twenty. From 10 ft, tops get 2″+ thick, with an optional center leg or steel under-support.
What size table fits my room?
Plan about 36″ of walk-around space on each end and side of the table. On Semi-custom rounds, a 48″ round seats 4, 54″ seats 5, 60–66″ seats 6 and 72–78″ seats 8.
Can I get a steel base?
Steel bases are built in MMWWco’s metal shop and are offered on select Semi-custom tables (+$400 where optional; included on The Modern and The Modern Round). Pick clear-coated bare steel or a powder coat from 25 metallics and 25 solid colors, in four gloss levels. Production tables stay on the wood base they’re pictured with.
Where does the wood come from?
Our black walnut is Nebraska grown, and the barnwood is reclaimed. A card goes home with every set: the wood’s name, where it grew and what it became.
Do you sell chairs and benches?
Yes. Chairs from MMWWco’s chair catalog are finished in the shop to match your table or in a stain or paint: about $280–$340 for wood chairs and $500 upholstered, with Semi-custom chairs $25 more. Matching solid-wood benches run $900–$1,000 and aren’t offered on round tables.
Where is the shop?
The shop is at 409 East 4th Street, Stromsburg, Nebraska 68666: a 7,000 sq ft wood shop and a 6,000 sq ft metal shop. Pickup at the shop is free. Questions? Call 402-910-6394 or email jeff@MMWWco.com.
